How We Got Here

It started in a basement.

In early 2014, we opened our first escape rooms in Budapest: Dictator and Hangar 18. Physical games were still new back then. We had plenty of room to experiment, test ideas, and see what actually worked in real life.

We learned by running games.

We built games, and we ran them. Watching players every day taught us the reality of escape rooms. We saw where they hesitated, what broke under pressure, and what made them smile. Soon, we started building games for other venues, using everything we learned from our own players.

The workshop grew.

As games got more complex, so did our production. We learned fabrication, electronics, metalwork, and automation. Game design, technology, and physical building became a single process under one roof.

Then the venue closed.

In 2018, our building was sold and the basement had to close. By that time, building games for others was already our full-time job. We shifted all our focus to manufacturing and became a B2B studio — but we kept the operator mindset.

We know the daily reality.

We know what a busy Saturday feels like for a game master. We remember the questions players ask in the lobby and the things they break when they get stuck. That practical experience still dictates how we design and engineer our systems today.

Back to our own games.

In 2025, we returned to operating. We partnered with Gamerland Budapest to build City of Vice and Antidote. These rooms serve as our active showroom. By the time they opened, our workshop had shipped over 100 games worldwide, played by more than 500,000 people.

That’s our story.
